< p > Linear Sphere: a new UK-based band that seems to excel in every aspect. Their unique musical vision results in a sort of prog-fusion metal. Not only that, but also the musicianship is incredible (three of those guys teach at The Guitar Institute, and it shows). What's the most interesting part for me is the unpredictability that comes with the style: the continuous switching between prog rock, jazz-fusion and deathmetal keeps the listener alert; also the way in which Linear Sphere plays around with rhythm changes is ever so amazing to listen to. This album is a real eye-opener and shows what subtility, variation and technique really can achieve in perfectly balanced compositions. Genius.
